The official opening of the annual general assembly of the UNA - Lebanon at UN House under the patronage of his excellency President Emile Lahoud, on 9 January.

Participated at the general assembly of the national meeting of the NGO "Abolishing all kinds of discrimination against woman" at the UNESCO, on 7 February.

A board of Trustees for UNA-Lebanon was established headed by his Excellency Former Prime Minister Dr. Amin El Hafez, on 8 February.

Participated at a general conference with Mr. Piere Saneh the Executive Secretary of UNESCO on 1st of March.

A number of representatives of NGO's in Lebanon met in the office of UNA-Lebanon and all together released a human scream through the media against the Israeli agression on Palestinian land and met with other NGOs with Dr. Mervat Tellawi, Executive Secretary of ESCWA, on 30 March.

UN Peace Day

Participated at the meeting of the 180's Executive committee of the World Federation in New York. The delegation consisted of Mr. Samir Daher, President Mrs. Raja Hamadeh, Executive Secretary Assistant and Miss Ghina Charif, member, between 2-4 May.

Organized the exhibition of "Invention in the Service of the Environment" at the UNESCO. An exhibition of creative portraits by Hanan Baroudi Kabara, member of UNA-Lebanon, between 2-9 May.

Attended the signature of His Excellency Edward Ghora former Ambassador of Lebanon to UN and founder member of UNA -Lebanon, his book "Issues and Attitudes in Ambassador Memory" at Riviera Hotel, on 11 June.

Organized a week for the International UN Peace Day. Conferences were held for one week in different regions in Lebanon (Beirut, Tripoli, Saida, Zahle, Baalbak & Nabatieh), between 3-10 July.

Participated at the International Day of UN House, on 24 October.

Attended the 13th conference of The Women World Democratic Federation at the UNESCO, on 29 November.

President Samir Daher attended the 181th meeting of The executive committee of the world federation in Geneva, between 30 Nov. - 02 Dec.

Organized a press conference on "Land Mine in South Lebanon" at The Press Syndicate. The conference was attended by a number of political and social lebanese personalities, on 13 December.
